Application builder
The Xibis e-recruitment system offers an Application Builder tool that allows for custom application templates to be created and used within the e-recruitment system.
A application template can be created and used for vacancies of a particular type like, for example, financial vacancies. This is beneficial as candidates can be asked pertinent questions that are relevant to the vacancy they are applying for.
A standard application form is generally made up of questions for a candidate to complete that may not be relevant, or does not contain questions that will be of real benefit when an application is being reviewed. Generally targeted questions would need to wait until an interview takes place, but with the power of the Application Builder tool, these questions can be set in the application form and therefore providing additional information to help with making decisions on which candidates to invite to interview.
The Application Builder uses a library of modules that can be selected when creating an application template.
Some examples of modules are:
- Personal Details
- Current and Previous Employment
- Education
- References
- Equal Opportunities
Each module will be made up of standard questions, but the Application Builder provides the power to add additional questions to a module. A manageable library of questions is available for additional questions to be selected.
The Application Builder also provides the power to create custom modules that can be added to an application template. A custom module is basically a blank module, and this allows for questions to be added from the question library, and for new questions to be created and added to the custom module. Questions of different types can be created like text boxes, list boxes and drop downs for example.
The Application Builder is a powerful tool and provides the flexibility to tailor an application form when recruiting for professional/technical roles, in comparison to a standard application form that does not provide all the information required to make a fully informed decision.
