Xibis has formed an exciting new relationship with Dynmark International, an award-winning mobile messaging applications developer. Dynmark's bulk SMS text message distribution and management system, e-txtTM, allows customers to send and receive bulk SMS text messages, set up SMS text campaigns, publish mobile internet sites, set-up "e-mail to SMS" and "SMS to e-mail".
We can integrate this technology into your web system, giving you a powerful tool to develop long-term relationships with your customers by communicating directly with them from your website to their mobile phones. This brings an entire spectrum of ways to enhance your service. A few examples are included below to give you a flavour of the potential of this technology.
- Flexibility for job hunters – online recruitment. Applicants can register their contact details and profile on a specialist recruitment website or in the careers pages of a corporate website, categorising the types of work they are interested in. The system can then automatically send an SMS to job hunters informing them when a job comes onto the site that matches their criteria.
- Offering new services - nightclub party organiser. A nightclub might like to offer a new service to help its customers arrange a night out with friends, such as a special birthday party. The customer could use the nightclub's website to select a party date, entertainment and catering options, create a list of invitees, including the names and mobile phone numbers of the people they would like to invite, plus setting themselves up as the party organiser. The system then creates the invitation according to the options chosen, sends the invitation to the list of invitees via SMS and receives and logs SMS responses back from the guests. The web system can then automatically send an SMS to the party organiser to let them know which of their guests is coming so final arrangements can be made for any special discounts and catering orders.
- Minimising lost sales from "out of stock" items – e-commerce sites. Too many times a customer clicks to order a particular product, only to be disappointed that it is out of stock or already on hire to another customer. Generally that will result in a lost sale. By using mobile messaging integrated to the site, the customer could ask for an SMS to be sent when the product is back in stock. The customer can act within minutes of receiving the message and can place their order on the website (via PC or mobile phone).
- This "out of stock" idea is not restricted to e-commerce sites, but is applicable to all sorts of services such as a library, equipment hire or DVD rental service.
- Special offers. In addition to this application, an e-commerce site could encourage customers to register their mobile phone number for receiving automatic updates of special offers, in much the same way that they currently receive similar emails to their PCs.
- Boost site traffic – send to a friend. Many news websites already offer a "send to a friend" service. For example, if you are on a news site and read an article of interest, you might want to take up the offer to "email it to a friend". It would be a simple addition to offer the reader to "text it to a friend", who may then browser the site from their mobile phone. This application has virtually no restrictions – whatever your product or service, you will probably want to encourage site visitors to tell friends and colleagues about it to boost site traffic and potential sales opportunities.
