Gives customers access to all quotes files and provides online ordering facilities
31th August 2007
Over the past month we have been working on making, what we think, is one of the most important additions we’ve ever made to our customer service systems – we’ve put our quotation system online. This promises to bring greater efficiency for our customers and for our development teams, by giving immediate access to all the quotes files and providing online ordering facilities.
- Customers will have full access to all quotes (all versions, previous and current), with the ability to request a modification to a particular quote.
- Customers can ask questions directly to the systems analyst, via the quotation’s contact facility.
- Xibis systems analysts can create and email new full Word-based, or quick email quotes to customers, from within this system with an automatically created reference number.
- Customers will be able to place their order through the system, entering their purchase order details, and will be able to read and agree to our updated terms and conditions.
- Customers and Xibis developers can easily check who is managing which projects. This is particularly useful for those of our clients who have multiple projects on the go at once, each led by a different team member.
The main advantage is that all information about a particular project proposal will be stored in one place and be easily accessible using their customer log-in. Quote versions, modifications, and any notes, queries and email correspondence between the customer and Xibis are managed by the system and stored automatically into the correct quote folder.
Putting our quotation system online gets us closer to our vision of a completely web-based system so that, wherever the Xibis team members are working from, they will have access to all the documents they need in order to do the best job possible.
Currently Andy Poolton is testing out the new system with some of his customers before it is rolled out across the company. But if you can’t wait and want to have access to all your quotations now, let your system analyst know or contact .
