Solution
Self Awareness Ltd is an educational and coaching company offering a psychometric testing service to the UK education market. The test gains an insight to a student’s learning needs based on their personality traits. Xibis worked with Self Awareness to translate the paper-based service into a comprehensive web-based product, to cut service costs and to reach new customers such as private tutors, parents and the wider education market both in the UK and overseas.
Self Awareness recognised that in order to achieve corporate growth, three things needed to happen:
- Reduce costs of the service. Taking paper-based tests out to schools and administering them onsite meant a big overhead in manpower costs. It also limited the customer base to schools with a sizable budget. An online system would mean an affordable service available to more customers.
- Widen the customer base. A website would make the service available to private tutors, parents and the growing ex-pat community overseas as well as to all UK schools.
- Expand the product range. Different levels of report packages could easily be made available to the existing market and, in addition, a new reporting structure was planned for the corporate market.
Xibis worked closely with Self Awareness to develop a scalable web system to sell and deliver the psychometric testing service. Christine Stoker, a director of Self-Awareness commented, “Xibis also gave us excellent advice on hosting packages, online payment options, and sound security measures.”

In addition Self Awareness has developed a new service, offering similar reports for adults, aimed at corporate training departments, managers and coaches for use in personal development.
